Glad I tried it, but I cant tell if soaking it makes any difference at all.. Seems like the water left on the VEG after washing would do the same trick (but I dont really know; perhaps the claim is that the water is released over time from the clay).. The VEG do come out great, and it is very easy to clean (I simply rinse with water and it seems to be enough).. Its a bit of a pain to worry about it breaking from temperature changes (I glean from the directions it is more prone to such breakage than other cookware).. Difficult to handle when hot because the lid doesnt have a handle that works well with oven mitts.. Also takes up a lot of space(I am trying to use a toaster oven and roast garlic too, so space is at a premium).. I do love the organic feel of using the clay.. It is pretty enough so my girlfriend will allow it to be used on display when not in use (otherwise every damn thing goes into the cabinets somewhere)..

Don't let the 'vegetable' in the title fool you. This is just a small size clay baker and you can cook anything you want in it. If you have a large enough countertop or toaster oven, you may be able to fit this in it without needing a full size oven. Check your measurements carefully. It takes a little bit of practice to figure out which things cook best, but you can pretty much just toss in some veggies and/or potatoes with or without meat or anything else you feel like - bake and serve. Get a few of the clay pot cookery books out there to give you ideas, or just throw in your own ingredients. It's pretty simple and foolproof.

I have the 10 lb clay cooker for turkey and chicken, however, when cooking for just 2 people, this size fits perfect in the convection toaster oven. I use it for everything, not just veggies. Would recommend to anyone who likes to cook in clay pots.

The skirt is exactly what I was looking for, but it does seem to collect a lot of cat fur. At least the fur comes off easily!

I received the bedskirt to find that the label on the packaging was listed as "Queen" as ordered. The problem was that the bedskirt received fits a full sized bed and is too small for a queen sized bed.

I recommend buying a king sized bedskirt if you are buying this brand. Tuck the excess under the mattress if it is too big for your bed. Or just buy another brand.

The pictures are a bit misleading in that buyers are made to believe that there is a sheen to this product- which there is not. It is matte, and has no silky glisten to it. The color is light gold-ish and its decent. Not wonderful.

We researched a new pan set for months. We read every review available. We became frustrated many times but it boiled down to this set of pans. I had not bought a pan set in 25 years. This was the first major pots and pan purchase since we got married 22 years ago. It was well worth the wait. They are beautiful. Extremely solid and well made. We are very, very satisfied.

I recently purchase the Hot pots and pan and I can say.. It it fantastic! The cooking time is faster, you will use less of everything water salt magi and all. Being an African we tend to use a lot of oil but since this pot we now use less and my hubby enjoy the taste of my cooking more better.

Thank you I will def recommend this product to every family and for the price it really worth it, although I wish there were more bigger pots in the content!!

I purchased these pots and pans to replace a similar set that I used for over 20 years. After the original set was discarded, I went to an expensive set of non stick pans but was not happy with them for very long. I searched the internet for the manufacturer of my old pans to no avail. They have apparently gone out of business. When I checked on Amazon, I found an identical set made by a different company, including the exact pieces from the first set. I have had these pans for over two months now and it is a joy to cook with them. I hope they last forever. I burned something in the fry pan a couple of weeks ago and was delighted to find out it cleaned up every bit as easily as the non-stick pans.
